Your information should have a clear purpose and clear protections.

This policy explains what MEAL Bridge collects, why we use it, how long we keep it, which service providers support the process, and how you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information.

1. Introduction

MEAL Bridge Consulting LLC (“MEAL Bridge”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects the privacy of people who visit our website, contact us, submit applications, participate in our professional activities, or otherwise provide personal information to us.

This Privacy & Data Protection Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, how long it is retained, when it may be shared with service providers, and how individuals may exercise their privacy rights.

MEAL Bridge processes electronic personal data in accordance with applicable Syrian legislation, including Law No. 12 of 2024 on the protection of electronic personal data and applicable implementing requirements. Where another data-protection framework applies to a specific processing activity or individual, MEAL Bridge will apply the relevant requirements.

2. Who is responsible for your information

For personal information submitted directly to MEAL Bridge through our website or communications, the data controller is MEAL Bridge Consulting LLC, Syrian Arab Republic.

Privacy questions and requests for access, correction, or deletion should be sent to privacy@meal-bridge.com. This privacy address is the dedicated point of contact for privacy matters; operational form notifications may be delivered to other authorized MEAL Bridge company email accounts.

3. Information we may collect

The information collected depends on how you interact with MEAL Bridge and may include:

  • Name and contact information, including email address and telephone or WhatsApp number where requested.
  • Country, organization, professional role, educational or professional background, and MEAL experience.
  • Training, mentoring, consultancy, partnership, employment, internship, Community of Practice participation, or Professional Practice interests.
  • Application responses, motivation statements, organizational needs, expected timing, and information contained in messages or inquiries.
  • Files or documents that MEAL Bridge specifically requests through an appropriate process.
  • Limited technical information associated with website submissions, such as IP address, request metadata, browser information, and approximate location where generated by our service providers.

We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.

4. Information you should not submit

Unless MEAL Bridge specifically requests it through an appropriate and secure process, do not submit beneficiary or programme-participant data, passwords or authentication credentials, confidential organizational datasets, payment-card details, medical or health information, criminal-history information, biometric information, or other highly sensitive personal information.

Website inquiry and application forms are not intended as secure channels for transmitting sensitive programme or beneficiary datasets.

5. How we collect information

We may collect personal information when you submit a general or partnership inquiry, apply for an Academy programme, request organizational training, register your interest in the Community of Practice, apply to a Professional Practice, contact us by email, apply for a future employment or internship opportunity, request services, or enter discussions concerning a potential client, consultant, supplier, or partnership relationship.

We may also process limited technical information needed for website operation, security, spam prevention, and analytics where applicable.

6. Why we use personal information

MEAL Bridge may use personal information to respond to inquiries; review service requests; process Community of Practice registrations; assess Academy, training, Professional Practice, recruitment, internship, or consultancy applications; communicate with applicants and prospective clients; arrange meetings and follow-up discussions; manage business relationships; maintain necessary administrative records; protect forms and systems against spam, misuse, fraud, or security threats; comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, or reporting obligations; establish or defend legal claims; and analyze website performance where appropriate privacy controls are in place.

Information submitted for an inquiry or application will not be used for unrelated direct marketing simply because you contacted MEAL Bridge.

8. Marketing and news communications

MEAL Bridge does not automatically add people who submit website inquiries, applications, or professional expressions of interest to marketing or newsletter lists.

If MEAL Bridge introduces newsletters, course announcements, opportunity alerts, promotional communications, or similar services, subscription will use a separate opt-in mechanism where required. Subscribers will be able to unsubscribe.

9. Website forms and Formspark

MEAL Bridge currently uses Formspark, operated by Trampoline Software SRL, to process website form submissions. MEAL Bridge determines why form information is collected and how it is used; Formspark processes submission data on MEAL Bridge’s behalf under its Data Processing Agreement.

Formspark states that personal data it holds for the service remains within the European Economic Area for storage, with relevant infrastructure in Ireland and Germany. Some subprocessors may operate elsewhere under applicable transfer safeguards. Formspark may process submission content, submitter IP address, request metadata, notification-recipient details, server logs, and information needed for spam prevention and service security.

10. Company email

After a form is submitted, relevant information may also be delivered to and retained within MEAL Bridge’s company email environment. MEAL Bridge currently uses professional company email services provided through Titan. Access to company email containing personal information is limited to authorized personnel who require it for legitimate business purposes.

11. International processing and transfers

Because MEAL Bridge uses external technology providers, personal information may be processed or technically handled outside Syria. Where applicable law requires authorization, notice, contractual safeguards, or another mechanism for an international transfer, MEAL Bridge will apply the required measures.

12. Data retention

MEAL Bridge does not intend to retain personal information indefinitely. Unless a longer period is required for legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes, the following standard periods apply:

Information Standard retention period
General inquiries 2 years
Academy applications 2 years
Community of Practice registrations and Professional Practice applications 2 years
Organizational requests and prospective client leads 3 years
Unsuccessful employment or internship applications 12 months
Client and contractual records According to applicable legal, contractual, and accounting requirements

Where a valid deletion request applies, MEAL Bridge will delete or anonymize relevant information unless continued retention is required or permitted by law. Service providers may retain limited backup or recovery copies for a short period after deletion according to their systems and contractual terms.

13. Data security

MEAL Bridge takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, accidental loss, improper disclosure, unauthorized alteration, destruction, or misuse. Measures may include access controls, account-security measures, limited internal access, service-provider security controls, and appropriate handling procedures.

No online system or electronic communication method can guarantee absolute security.

14. Sharing personal information

MEAL Bridge does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with authorized MEAL Bridge personnel; form, hosting, email, and other technology providers; professional advisers; regulators, courts, or authorities where legally required; or another party specifically authorized by the individual.

Service providers are expected to handle information only for the purposes necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

15. Individuals under 18

MEAL Bridge website forms are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals under 18 should not submit personal information through these forms unless MEAL Bridge has established a specific programme and appropriate safeguards for participation by minors.

If MEAL Bridge becomes aware that information relating to a person under 18 has been collected through a form not intended for minors, appropriate steps may be taken to delete it.

16. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have the right to know what personal information is being processed and why; access information held about you; request correction or updating; request deletion where legally available; object to or request restriction of certain processing; withdraw consent; and receive information about retention or sharing.

Some rights may be subject to legal limitations, exceptions, identity verification, or retention requirements.

17. How to make a privacy request

Send privacy requests to privacy@meal-bridge.com. Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant record and understand the action requested.

MEAL Bridge may request reasonable information necessary to verify your identity before disclosing, modifying, or deleting personal information. Requests will be handled without unnecessary delay and within any period required by applicable law.

18. Cookies and analytics

MEAL Bridge uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, as an optional website analytics service. Google Analytics is not loaded on this website unless you choose Accept analytics. If you reject non-essential analytics, the Google Analytics tag is not requested and MEAL Bridge does not intentionally send analytics events to Google.

When analytics is accepted, GA4 may collect information about page views, website engagement, referral or campaign source, browser and device characteristics, and approximate geographic information. MEAL Bridge also records successful submission events for its Contact inquiry, individual Academy application, organizational training request, Community of Practice registration, and Professional Practice application flows. These events are triggered only after the website receives a successful submission response from Formspark.

When analytics is accepted, MEAL Bridge may also record selected non-identifying interaction events that help us understand website performance and user journeys. These may include selected calls to action, capability or solution choices, FAQ openings, Academy course and pathway exploration or application clicks, selected programme/language/delivery preferences, Community of Practice registration or Professional Practice interest and selection changes, and use of website-controlled sharing actions. These measurements are designed to capture content or interaction context rather than the identity of the visitor.

Share actions are offered for Academy courses and pathways, Consultancy and Systems Development offerings and service cards, Community of Practice and Professional Practice cards, and the Career Consultation Session. Shared links may contain campaign parameters and content identifiers to open the specific item and help measure campaign and shared-content engagement. These identifiers describe the content, not the person who shared it or the recipient.

MEAL Bridge does not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, message content, organization names, or free-text application answers to Google Analytics. Events may include the non-identifying selections described above, such as programme, language, delivery format, contact topic, or Practice choice. Google Signals is disabled, user-provided data collection is disabled, User ID tracking is not implemented, and advertising personalisation is disabled for this Analytics property.

GA4 user and event data retention is configured for 14 months, with the retention period not reset by new user activity. Google may process analytics data using its infrastructure and subprocessors in multiple countries, subject to its applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements.

Your analytics choice is stored locally in your browser so the website can remember it. This preference storage is used only to respect your privacy choice. You can change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie preferences in the website footer.

19. External websites

The MEAL Bridge website may contain links to external websites or services. MEAL Bridge is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites that operate independently from us. Users should review the privacy information provided by those services where appropriate.

20. Automated decision-making

MEAL Bridge does not currently use website form information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Applications and professional expressions of interest may use structured assessment criteria, but material selection decisions remain subject to human review.

21. Changes to this policy

MEAL Bridge may update this policy when its services, website, technology providers, legal obligations, or data-processing practices change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
